A Beautiful View On Showing Appreciation From The Best Neighbor EVER, Mr. Rogers (Simple Saturdays)

Hi there, welcome to Simple Saturdays. I recently found this wonderful quote by Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers, to most of us). I thought it was so lovely, I just had to share. He says:

"I believe that appreciation is a holy thing — that when we look for what's best in a person we happen to be with at the moment, we're doing what God does all the time. So in loving and appreciating our neighbor, we are participating in something sacred."

(00:39):
Isn't that a wonderful way to look at people? To appreciate them, to find the good in each person you're with.

(00:46):
And that doesn't just apply to people we know and love. It also applies to the server at the restaurant and the cashier at the grocery store, and the person on the phone who's helping us clear up a billing mistake.

(00:59):
So actively seek to appreciate the person in your presence and remember" this appreciation is a sacred thing.
