Episode 73 | (00:11):
Hey there, welcome to Simple Saturdays. Let me ask you a question: When you were growing up, did it feel like there were certain things that were always being saved for later?
(00:20):
Things like "the good towels" that were being saved for the guests. (In my house, they were actually called "the guest towels.")
(00:29):
Things like not being allowed to eat in the living room because you might make a mess. Or like only using the good dishes for special occasions like Thanksgiving or Christmas.
(00:38):
I'm not really sure where all of this came from, the saving things for these "mystery guests" that might, perhaps, someday, maybe, eventually show up. ;)
(00:46):
But here's a thought: What if you treated yourself like a guest?
(00:50):
What if you used the good towels on a daily basis? What if you burned that beautiful candle when you were home by yourself? Or what if you dabbed on a few drops of that expensive perfume just...because?
(01:04):
By midlife we have this tendency to get a little bit stuck in our ways. Maybe it's time to shake things up a bit. What do you say?
(01:12):
Today, how about stepping out of that rut so you can step into possibility and get clarity on what is available to you in this big, beautiful world of ours?
(01:24):
Use the good china, my friend. Because life is short and you don't want to miss out.
(01:29):
Thanks for joining me on Simple Saturdays. I'll see you in the next episode and until then, peace, love and blessings to you and yours. Take care. Bye-bye!
